Greenville Housing Authority to Host Seminar for First-Time Home Buyers

In celebration of National Homeownership Month, the Greenville Housing Authority is hosting a free First-Time Home Buyers Seminar at the Greenville Convention Center (1 Exposition Drive) on Saturday, June 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Participants can attend workshops on how to prepare for homeownership, evaluating your credit, down payment assistance, choosing a lawyer and realtor, Section 8 voucher and homeownership, and more.

Public Input Needed for Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice

Greenville County, in cooperation with the City of Greenville and others, has begun preparation of its Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice in order to receive funding from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development.

Several community meetings will be held the week of June 8-12 to give the public an opportunity to share fair housing concerns, such as acts of discrimination or barriers that might limit the housing choices of families and individuals.

Agencies and organizations that provide housing and services are also encouraged to complete an online survey of agency/organization needs. Residents can also provide input via portions of the survey.

Changes to Greenlink Routes

On July 1, Greenlink will implement a series of route changes, including new route names and numbers and redesigned routes. Links to new maps and schedules are below:

The changes are recommendations from its 2017 Comprehensive Operations Analysis, which identified strengths and areas for improvement and provided suggestions to improve efficiency and increase ridership while remaining revenue neutral.
