Renew Your Business License

Please remember to renew your 2021 City of Greenville business license on or before Sunday, February 28 to avoid penalties.

While City Hall remains closed, we offer the following convenient payment options. The City accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. 

• Pay online at revenue.greenvillesc.gov. You will need your business license number, PIN and control number, located in the top right corner of your business license renewal application. This information can also be found on the Renewal Reminder letter sent out on Tuesday, February 9, 2021. Please note that the payment portal only accepts renewal payments and payment amounts up to $99,000.00. 
  
  
• The payment portal does not accept business license renewal payments for non-resident contractors and some other businesses (a list is available on the portal). Non-resident contractors must mail their business license renewal application (with a check or credit card information) or place it in the Business License Renewal drop box at the rear entrance to City Hall.
  
  
• Fax your business license renewal application, with your credit card information included under item 16, to (864) 467-5715. Please follow up with a phone call to ensure your application was received.
  
  
• Mail your business license renewal application (with a check or credit card information) to City of Greenville 4th Floor, PO Box 2207, Greenville SC 29602. You can also place it in the Business License Renewal drop box at the rear entrance to City Hall. Please use the blue envelope provided at the drop box if you do not already have one.
