All submissions will be reviewed before posting to the city's Community Calendar. The city has the discretion to determine which public events will be included in the calendar. The events should provide entertainment, food or other attractions to a diverse population, and promote the economic benefits of tourism or enhance the quality of life of the community. All events must be open to the general public (for free or cost), located within the City of Greenville and organized for non-profit purposes.
May 4, 2017 - October 31, 2018 @ Affected streets include Spring Street, between E. Washington St. and E. McBee Ave.; and S. Irvine St., between E. Washington St. and E. McBee Ave.
Due to the construction at 200 E. Washington St., Spring St. between E. Washington St and E. McBee Ave will have lane shifts with limited lane widths. Travel ways will be delineated with traffic barriers and posted signage. Drivers may enter and exit the Spring St Garage in either direction onto Spring St.
S Irvine St between E. Washington St and E McBee Ave will be closed to thru traffic. Access to businesses on S. Irvine St at McBee will be open. US Marshals officials will be allowed to enter and exit S. Irvine St. at any time.
November 15, 2017 - March 15, 2018
Mohawk Drive will be closed to through traffic for about four months, for installation of a new sanitary sewer main. If the work is completed sooner than anticipated, the road will open early.
February 20, 2018 - February 27, 2018 @ Cammer Avenue, between Augusta Street and Meyers Drive
Road closed to through traffic for sewer main installation. The road will re-open at the end of each work day and access will be maintained to all properties during construction.

This area will be used to stage precast panel deliveries for the parking deck being built at the Hyatt Place Hotel site located at 128 E Broad. Detour routes will be posted.

Closed to traffic between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. nightly starting Monday, Feb. 26, to make improvements to the sewer system. The work should be accomplished in five nights, but as a contingency for unexpected circumstances, work may extend to/through Sunday, March 4. The street is slated to reopen to traffic every morning by 6 a.m.

Fiction 101 is geared towards the serious adult or young adult who has dreamed of writing fiction but didn't have the tools to pursue that goal. Each class will include a short lecture, writing activities, feedback, and discussion. In an informal manner, local author Carol Baldwin, provides a blend of information and hands-on learning experiences. Students leave excited to work on their story.
This course will meet for 6 weeks from 1:00 -4:00 p.m. beginning Saturday, March 3. $45 per class (City Resident) or $50 per class (Non-City Resident). If you sign up for the entire course, you will receive one free class. $225 (City Resident) or $250 (Non-City Resident).
